Avon AA Open Meeting

Avon County Athletic Association (AA) invites athletes of all ages to participate in the Avon AA Open Meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at SGS WISE Stadium in Stoke Gifford, Bristol. This event is licensed under UKA Licence OUT26/138 and offers a wide range of competitive opportunities from Under-10 to Masters categories.
The day's schedule includes track events such as the 75m sprint for Quadkids (Under 12 athletes), followed by longer distances like the 200m, 600m, and 800m races. These are open to U14s and older age groups, with para-athletes also welcome in both dedicated events and integrated heats.
Field event enthusiasts will find opportunities for triple jump (U16 & up), high jump (starting at 1.00m for U14s and above), and the unique Quadkids field events of standing long jump and howler throw, which take place without a break between trials to ensure seamless competition.
Quadkids athletes compete in a combination of track and field disciplines including the 75m sprint, 600m run, standing long jump, and howler throw. Older age groups will have their own dedicated events with heats determined based on entries received by the closing date of August 27th.

Entry fees vary depending on athlete categories, starting from £6 per Quadkid participant and increasing incrementally based on additional events entered by older athletes (U14s and above). It's important to note that all entries must be submitted online before the August 27th deadline; late entries will not be accepted.

Photofinish technology will not be utilized at this event. Participants should ensure they are aware of the draft timetable and any potential conflicts between track and field events to maximize their competition time.
Quadkids athletes must report directly for their first field event without delay, moving seamlessly into subsequent trials as scheduled by officials.
Maximum participation limits apply: 3 events per athlete in U14s, U16s, and U18 categories; up to 5 events for U20s; while Seniors have no limit on the number of events they can enter.
