About the Event

Tackle the iconic sandstone trails and soak in the breathtaking vistas of the Tennessee River Gorge at the legendary Stump Jump 50K & 10 Miler on March 7, 2026. Celebrating its 25th running, this premier Southeastern event offers a stunning 90% single-track course atop Signal Mountain and Walden Ridge, featuring jaw-dropping overlooks, lush creek coves, and a perfect blend of runnable terrain and technical challenge. The 50K is renowned as an ideal first ultra or a competitive benchmark for veterans, guaranteed to deliver spectacular scenery, a meticulously marked and well-aided course, and the vibrant energy of the Chattanooga trail running community. With a sold-out reputation every year, securing your spot early is essential for this classic early-season test.

The event is expertly organized by Bad Beard Events, offering a full weekend experience including a Friday packet pickup at a local brewery, on-site camping, shoe demos from La Sportiva and Rossignol, and a post-race meal with local Dynamo Brewing beer. The 10-hour cutoff for the 50K and 4-hour cutoff for the 10 Miler ensure the race remains accessible while maintaining its challenging character. More than just a race, Stump Jump is a celebration of a quarter-century of trail tradition, where every runner becomes part of the story on one of the most beautiful and respected courses in the region. Lace up for an unforgettable day where Southern hospitality meets rugged Appalachian beauty.
