The race is set for Saturday, August 1st in Patton Park, where runners and their furry friends can enjoy the morning air together. This year marks the fourth edition of this beloved celebration, which offers a mix of competitive races and community activities.

The race course winds through Patton Park’s varied terrain. Participants will enjoy a hard and dry surface, offering consistent footing for the entire distance. Distance markers are clearly visible along the route to keep everyone on track.
For those looking to add an extra challenge or just get involved in the fun, new this year is the 100-Meter Paw Pursuit, a crowd-favorite that brings excitement right into the heart of race day. Plus, all registered participants will earn a special Bark & Bolt finisher medal, adding to the sense of camaraderie and accomplishment.
Registration for the event can be done through https://raceroster.com/events/2026/114056/bark-and-bolt. Early bird pricing is available until June 30th at $25 per participant; after that, it will increase to $30. Youth options are also available for a reduced fee.
Bib pickup will take place on the morning of August 1st from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM in the Patton Park Pavilion. Participants should bring their own race bib and timing chip if applicable, as well as any necessary gear or hydration supplies.
The start location for the races is at the entrance of Patton Park, right off Main Street. Age requirements are open—both young and old can participate with their dogs. First-timers might find it helpful to arrive early to ensure a smooth registration process and get acclimated to the area before the race begins.
