Experience the diverse landscapes of Berks County at the inaugural Barn Gravel Ride. This unique cycling adventure offers a mix of gravel paths, farm roads, dirt trails, and singletrack sections, providing an exhilarating day out on two wheels. The journey begins and ends at Garber's Barn, where you'll find not just a finish line but also a vibrant social hub complete with friends, good food, and tasty beverages. This event is designed to cater to all levels of cyclists—whether you prefer the challenge of singletrack or enjoy riding on quieter paved roads. For those who might want an alternative route through the woods, there are options available that skip the technical sections. The full 60-mile route promises a wide variety of terrain to tackle at your own pace, ensuring both casual and enthusiastic riders find enjoyment in the day's ride. Participants can look forward to two aid stations along the way, each offering more than just sustenance: expect some barn games and strength challenges to keep things fun. The event kicks off between 9:00-9:30 AM with a roll-out ceremony, followed by an anticipated finish time of 2:00-4:00 PM. After the ride, there's plenty more in store at Garber's Barn for those who wish to linger. Enjoy post-ride camaraderie around a bonfire, live music, and a selection of beers paired with delicious food. Bring your lawn chair and favorite koozie; past events have shown that the after-party can be even better than the ride itself! Barn Gravel is committed to giving back by supporting Helping Harvest. During registration, all participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or make a cash donation to help local hunger efforts. Mark your calendar for this exciting event and prepare to explore Berks County’s beautiful countryside while sharing in the camaraderie of fellow cyclists.
