After completing your swim in serene surroundings, you’ll run directly up into the grandstands and transition seamlessly into your cycling gear. The Half Bike Course offers two loops along the picturesque Niagara Parkway, covering nearly 64 kilometers of well-paved roads with closed traffic sections ensuring a safe and smooth ride through stunning landscapes. For those seeking an even greater challenge, the Olympic Bike Course features 25 kilometers of dedicated road space, marking it as a unique feature in Ontario’s racing calendar.
The run course is designed to be both challenging and rewarding, featuring several flat stretches where you can pick up speed alongside some hills that will test your endurance. This dynamic terrain ensures an engaging experience for runners at all levels.
As part of the Barrelman package, participants receive a finisher's medal, exclusive barrel-themed hats, race t-shirts, wristbands, gear bags, and bibs adorned with vibrant stickers and unique tattoos to commemorate their achievement. \ Welland is a city of 56,000 people (2021) in the Niagara Region of Ontario Canada. The city is centred on the Old Welland Canal which splits the city into a Northwestern section and a Southeastern section. The Eastern section is primarily older, having been the original settlement for the diggers of the Welland Canal.
