About the Event

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Barrington Rotary Club and its partner clubs from Lake Zurich and Long Grove, Kildeer, and Hawthorn Woods will come together to present The World's Largest Polio Walk. This event offers participants a chance to walk in support of eradicating polio while enjoying scenic routes around Barrington.
Registration begins at 9:00 AM, allowing ample time for last-minute preparations before the 10:00 AM start. Participants can choose between two distances: a one-kilometer stroll or a more challenging five kilometers to suit their fitness levels and personal goals.
The walk takes place in the heart of Barrington's charming landscape, winding through picturesque streets lined with historic homes and local businesses. The event not only fosters community spirit but also raises awareness for an important cause, making it a meaningful experience for all involved.
