ABOUT BASE 2 SPACE
Scale the Space Needle’s two open-air staircases, taking in incredible views of downtown Seattle, Mt. Rainier, and the beauty of Puget Sound as you ascend 832 steps to the top of Seattle’s most iconic landmark! All donations raised for this charity stair climb go to Fred Hutch and the Space Needle Foundation. To date, Base 2 Space has raised over $4.5 million for groundbreaking cancer research.
The 10th annual Base 2 Space climb takes place Sunday, September 27, 2026. All participants will receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and access to the Space Needle’s indoor and outdoor observation decks, including the world’s first and only revolving glass floor.
