The Bayac Trail returns for its fifth edition, hosted by the dynamic Nordic Walking Club of Bayac. This year’s trail offers three challenging distances: 7km, 12km, and an impressive 24km route. The shorter trails include a canitrail option that combines cycling and running on both the 7km and 12km courses, while also featuring leisurely walking routes for those who prefer to enjoy the scenery at their own pace. A highlight of this year’s event is the nocturnal run scheduled for Saturday evening, inviting participants to experience the trails under moonlight. The race begins and ends in the heart of Bayac on Place Louise Mazeau, making it easy for runners to access all aspects of the weekend's festivities. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 5:30 PM onwards, there will be an opportunity to collect bibs for Sunday’s events and register on-site. The trails and walking routes start at 7:00 PM with departures every five minutes until all participants are underway. The following day, October 18, the race kicks off early in the morning from 7:45 AM when runners can pick up their bibs. At 9:00 AM sharp, the longest and most demanding route of 23km begins its journey through Bayac’s scenic countryside. Shortly after at 9:10 AM, participants will take to the shorter trails for a combined cycling and running adventure on the Canitrail option. The main trail routes start promptly at 9:20 AM followed by leisurely walking options at 9:30 AM. This event promises an unforgettable experience with its diverse range of activities catering to all levels, from casual walkers to seasoned runners looking for a challenging course through Bayac’s natural beauty and charming landscapes.
