About the Event

Join the vibrant community of Baylor College of Medicine for the 15th Annual Well-Being 5K on October 10, 2026. This year's event will take place at Helix Park near the McNair/Jamail Campus and aims to foster student well-being through physical activity while supporting crucial healthcare initiatives.
Proceeds from this race go towards funding the Grant for Leadership Opportunities in Well-Being (GLOW), which enables BCM students to pursue projects that enhance community health. Past GLOW recipients have implemented innovative programs such as "Yoganatomy," a yoga series designed to complement anatomy classes and teach physical exam techniques, and the Emotional Roller Coaster Series, offering support through shared experiences and professional guidance.
Another notable initiative is Longevity for Latinos, an effort by the Latino Medical Student Association to address health disparities in medically underserved Hispanic communities of Houston. This program includes blood glucose and blood pressure screenings conducted with faculty supervision.
The race offers both on-site participation at Helix Park and a virtual option for those unable to attend physically.
