Bellbird Public School - AusBike School Holiday Program
About the Event
Join us for an exciting bike skills session at Bellbird Public School, designed to enhance your child's confidence and safety on two wheels. The program is open to both beginners and those looking to refine their advanced techniques. Sessions are scheduled for Saturday, July 11th, 2026. Participants can choose between a beginner session from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM or an advanced session from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. For the beginners' session: - Children who are comfortable riding alone and building core skills. - Must be able to ride one-handed for at least 20 meters, stand up on their bike while pedaling, and navigate small obstacles like bumps or tree roots without putting a foot down. Those looking to advance can join our advanced sessions. These are ideal for riders who: - Demonstrate strong control and confidence. - Are ready to tackle more complex maneuvers and techniques. All participants must bring their own well-maintained bike, helmet, water bottle, and wear comfortable clothing with closed-toe shoes. The meeting point is the undercover COLA area on Doyle Street. Sessions will proceed in light rain but will be canceled due to severe weather conditions. Bellbird Public School is proud to partner with AusBike as part of the NSW Government's Get Kids Active program, which aims to support families and encourage safe cycling habits among young riders. For any queries or further information, contact Ben Thomson at benjamin.thomson@auscycling.org.au. Register now for a fun-filled day that will build skills and boost confidence on two wheels!
