Experience the thrill of the Big River Gravel Series, held across the scenic Quad Cities region on the Iowa-Illinois border. Nestled between the Mississippi and Rock Rivers, this series offers four unique events designed for both gravel enthusiasts and seasoned racers.
March 28th in New Liberty, IA, kicks off with the Hell of the Wind—a challenging yet rewarding ride through rolling hills and picturesque landscapes. April 25th sees riders converge on Morrison, IL, for a thrilling race along the Rock River valley. July 11th brings you to Erie, IL, where the Burning Quad event awaits, offering an intense test in both endurance and skill.
The series finale, October 31st at New Liberty, IA, is the Turkey Burner—a grueling yet exhilarating challenge that tests your limits on winding gravel roads. Participation in all four events allows you to compete for overall titles across various categories: men’s and women’s races, as well as masters (40+) divisions.
For those seeking a competitive edge, there's an opportunity to claim top honors by accumulating points through these events. The series competition awards podium positions to the top three finishers in both genders and age groups. Scoring is based on placing: 1st place earns 10 points, down to 1 point for 10th.
A unique feature of this year’s Big River Gravel Series is its Mississippi distance payout race. By registering through a specific link, participants can vie for cash prizes that increase with the number of registrants. With a minimum prize pool and dynamic growth based on participation numbers, there's potential to win significant sums by securing spots in the series.
Join rain or shine; no refunds are offered once you commit. Choose your distance—Mississippi River (long) or Rock River (short)—and stick with it throughout all events. Switching distances mid-series will reset your points and impact your overall standings.
