Registration for the lottery opens on August 10th at 8:00 AM PST and runs through August 26th, with the drawing taking place on Friday, August 28th. The event itself unfolds from August 13th to 17th in 2027, inviting participants into a realm where nature’s raw power meets serene beauty.
The race begins at Marble Mountain Sno-Park and winds through diverse terrain that includes the surreal landscape of Mount St. Helens, which erupted dramatically in 1980. Runners will traverse long ridge lines offering panoramic views of forests, mountains, and lakes, delve into dense old-growth rainforests teeming with life, navigate misty mountain tops shrouded in mystery, and cross numerous streams and rivers that meander through the wilderness.
As they progress towards Randle, Washington, runners are treated to an ever-changing array of scenery culminating in a final ridge line dotted with some of the Cascade Range’s most prominent peaks. Alongside this awe-inspiring journey, participants will encounter 13 full aid stations, six of which serve as sleep stations, ensuring that runners have adequate rest and sustenance throughout their epic trek.
