Bigfoot Half Trail Run

Experience the picturesque landscapes of Stoney Run County Park at the Bigfoot Half Trail Run on November 14. The race kicks off at dawn with packet pick-up starting from 7:15 am, offering runners ample time to acclimate and prepare for their journey through Indiana's vibrant fall foliage.
Located near E 142nd Ave, just off Ridge Road, Stoney Run County Park provides a harmonious blend of natural beauty and rugged terrain. As the sun rises on race morning, an invigorating atmosphere envelops the park as participants gather to take part in this cherished annual event.
The course is designed with variety in mind, meandering through diverse terrains such as grassy fields, paved paths, gravel roads, and single-track trails. All sections are clearly marked with flags and arrow signs, ensuring a seamless navigation experience for all runners.
Weather conditions on race day are anticipated to range from a crisp 36°F (2.5°C) at the start of the event to a more comfortable 51°F (10.7°C) by the end. An average wind speed of 9.4 mph (15.1 km/h) is expected, which might make for cooler temperatures and an invigorating run.
For those accustomed to American measurements, the race totals approximately 21 kilometers or about 13 miles. The course is divided into two loops, providing a challenging yet rewarding experience. Runners can look forward to essential supplies at both the main aid station near the start/finish line—water, Gatorade, granola bars, and UCANN gels—and another smaller non-manned aid point around three-and-a-half miles in.
Parking is strictly off-road within Stoney Run County Park; follow signs towards the first shelter on your right to access packet pick-up. The start/finish area is conveniently located near park bathrooms and clearly marked with a provided map, ensuring easy navigation for all participants.
Bring identification and pin your bib number to the front of your shirt for quick identification at checkpoints. This event not only tests runners but also supports local initiatives by selling old Crazy Legs Race Series items at $5 each, with proceeds benefiting Stoney Run County Park.
