Bike Night at COTA: September 8 - Back to School Theme!
About the Event
Bike Night at our venue promises an exhilarating evening of cycling under the stars, with safety and enjoyment as top priorities. The gates open on-site registration from 5:15 PM onwards, ensuring you have ample time to prepare for your ride. Once inside, the track will be available starting at 6:00 PM until sunset, providing a perfect window to explore the designated paths. Please note that timing details might vary and final information will be communicated via email on event day by our Event Director. Always stay updated with COTA’s social channels for any last-minute changes. Safety is paramount, so all participants are required to wear helmets at all times while on track—no exceptions! Our policy strictly prohibits Class 2 or Class 3 electric bicycles and any bike equipped with a motorized throttle. For your convenience, pedal assist bikes of Class 1 are welcome, but be sure to bring your own helmet. As you cruise through the night, keep in mind that we do not offer bicycle rentals on-site. Our venue operates under a cashless policy, so ensure you have alternative payment methods ready for any purchases or necessities during your visit. Weather conditions can affect our operating hours and openings. Riding is strictly prohibited when wet weather persists, ensuring both rider safety and the preservation of our facilities. High temperatures above 95°F, low temperatures below 45°F, strong winds, rain, or extreme heat warnings issued by the National Weather Service may also limit operations. For more detailed information about Bike Night, visit COTA’s website where you can find comprehensive FAQs to address any questions you might have. Enjoy a thrilling evening of cycling under clear skies!

About Austin
Learn more about the host city, Austin.
Austin is a city of about 1,054,000 (2026) surpassing Fort Worth to become the 4th most populous city in Texas. It is on the southeast edge of the Hill Country region of Texas, making it the fourth-largest city in the state and the 11th-largest in the country. It is the capital of Texas and a college town, and also a center of an alternative culture away from the major cities on the US coasts, though the city is rapidly gentrifying with its rising popularity. Austin's attitude is commonly emblazoned about town on T-shirts and bumper stickers that read: "Keep Austin Weird." Austin is also marketed as the Live Music Capital of the World due to the large number of venues.
