Bimblers Bluff 50K

The Bristling Bluffs 50k, an annual endurance race set to take place on October 18, 2026, welcomes runners from near and far. This challenging yet rewarding event begins at Guilford Lakes School, nestled along the scenic Maupas Road in southern Connecticut’s verdant woodlands. Early morning on race day is crisp with temperatures around 55°F (13°C), accompanied by a gentle breeze that adds to the invigorating atmosphere.
Participants will navigate through diverse terrains, including firm forest paths and rugged single-track trails. The course design caters to experienced long-distance runners who are looking for an engaging challenge amidst nature’s beauty. Key stops include the Braemore Aid Station at mile 21, Renee's Way Aid Station halfway through, and Route 80 Aid Station near the finish line.
This beloved tradition in Guilford has been a cornerstone of local community support since its inception. Proceeds from the race fund scholarships for area schools, fostering educational opportunities within the community. With over two hundred participants in recent years, it remains both an adventurous pursuit and significant fundraiser that strengthens bonds among runners.
The event kicks off at 8:00 am on October 18th with check-in starting early at 6:00 am. Post-race refreshments will be available from noon onwards to help replenish energy levels after the long journey. A course cut-off ensures all participants are safely off before darkness falls, while volunteers can return home by then.

Bib pickup will be held from 6:00 am to 9:00 am at Guilford Lakes School. Runners must present a valid ID and any necessary forms or waivers if required by the organizers.
