About the Event

Ocean State Multisport invites runners to experience the vibrant landscapes of Rhode Island with its annual Ocean State Half Marathon. Nestled along picturesque coastal routes, this race offers participants an unforgettable journey through scenic trails and bustling city streets.
The course begins at Easton's Beach in Newport, where racers are greeted by stunning ocean views and a lively atmosphere. As runners set off, they will enjoy the cool sea breeze while navigating past historic landmarks and vibrant neighborhoods. The route then takes competitors along picturesque coastal paths, offering breathtaking vistas of the Atlantic Ocean.
As the race progresses, participants transition through diverse terrain including sandy beaches and paved roads before heading into quieter residential areas for a more serene experience. This varied landscape not only challenges runners physically but also immerses them in Rhode Island's rich cultural heritage.
The final stretch leads back to Easton’s Beach where spectators line up to cheer on the finishers as they cross the vibrant finish line under the backdrop of sun-drenched skies and crashing waves. Post-race festivities include refreshments, awards ceremonies, and opportunities for runners to connect with fellow athletes and local vendors.
