Longtown Hall serves as an ideal starting point for adventurers eager to explore the majestic Black Mountains, offering breathtaking vistas and challenging terrain that cater to runners at all levels. For this year's edition, we've relocated the start of our 50-mile route alongside three other distances, ensuring a memorable day run under clear skies rather than navigating through darkness as in previous years. First-time participants will encounter iconic landmarks such as Llanthony Abbey and Hatterall Hill, while those tackling the full 50 miles will enjoy panoramic views from Pen Cerrig Calch, Cat’s Back, Waun Fach, and Lord Hereford's Knob. Each route offers a distinct challenge with its own set of scenic highlights. Our event is designed to provide runners with top-notch support services including hot food exclusively for ultra-distance participants, cold food options available across all distances, physiotherapy assistance, taping stations, comprehensive checkpoint coverage, chip timing and tracking devices, back runners, medical care, and local camping accommodations. These amenities ensure that every runner receives the necessary support to complete their chosen distance. For those looking to extend their experience beyond just running, we offer nearby camping options near our headquarters, allowing participants to immerse themselves fully in this mountainous adventure without rushing away immediately after finishing their race. Whether you're aiming for a personal best on one of our longer routes or simply enjoying the stunning landscapes and challenging terrain over shorter distances like the half marathon, there's something here for every runner.
