Experience the Black Mountain Turkey Burner Trail Race on Sunday, November 30, 2024. This year marks the ninth edition of this challenging trail race, making it an essential part of the ERS' Sunshine Series. The course offers a mix of technical and less demanding trails, ensuring there's something for every runner. Participants will start and finish at Black Mountain Community Park, setting off on routes that vary in difficulty. For those seeking a true test of skill and endurance, the Half Marathon presents steep climbs through rugged terrain, offering an exhilarating challenge along some of the most technical trails around. Meanwhile, runners opting for the 10K or 5K will enjoy more groomed dirt paths with their own share of elevation gain. Due to new park guidelines, this event is limited to just 300 participants, so early registration is highly recommended to secure your spot. Given the popularity and technical nature of the race, it's best to carpool if possible for a smoother experience on race day. Packet pickups are available from Wednesday, November 26, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, as well as Saturday before the event from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to push your limits in a scenic setting!
