Blackburn Winter Warmer 10k & Junior 2k 2027

Get ready for the 2027 Winter Warmer 10k, set to take place on Sunday, February 14th at Witton Park Arena. This exciting chip-timed race offers runners an unforgettable challenge with its combination of a professional running track and the demanding Buncer Lane hill climb.
The event kicks off early in the morning with the Junior 2K Fun Run for young athletes aged 15 and under, starting at 10am sharp. Followed closely by the main attraction – the Winter Warmer 10k beginning at 11am. Participants will start on a smooth and fast track within Witton Country Park before heading out into quieter country lanes where they'll face Buncer Lane's steep ascent.
The climb tests your endurance but also rewards you with stunning countryside views, fresh air, and exhilarating downhill sections to pick up speed as you return towards the finish line. Upon crossing back over the professional track at Witton Park Arena, runners will be greeted by a cheering crowd, friendly marshals offering high-fives along the way.
Post-race festivities include receiving your specially designed medal, indulging in treats from our massive charity cake stall and collecting goody bags filled with surprises for all participants. The race also features prizes awarded to the top three male and female finishers as well as first-place runners aged 35-70 within their respective Vet categories.
