Experience the exhilaration of the 10th Annual Women's Clinic presented by The Central Maine NEMBA Dirt Divas. This clinic is tailored to empower women riders with essential mountain biking techniques while fostering a vibrant community among female cyclists. Upon arrival, your registration fee can be refunded; donations are welcome and will directly support local bike trails. Riders will join groups based on self-assessed skill levels—beginner, intermediate, or advanced—noting that this classification focuses more on comfort and technical ability rather than fitness prowess. For beginners, the clinic offers a blend of trail training and singletrack exploration on the flatter sections of the mountain. Key topics include bike fit, proper body positioning, braking techniques, efficient shifting, utilizing momentum, and conquering small obstacles with confidence. Intermediate riders will find themselves tackling more diverse terrain, including challenging features like uphill corners, technical rock formations, traversing bridges, and navigating tricky sections with enhanced skills for smoother rides through rugged landscapes. This group will benefit from regular stops to practice these advanced maneuvers under expert guidance. Advanced participants can expect a dynamic rolling clinic where skill sessions are interspersed throughout the ride. Focus areas include mastering powerful descents, technical climbs, drops, berms, and cornering techniques. As you refine your abilities, join fellow seasoned riders in conquering challenging features together. This event is designed to cater specifically to women's needs, ensuring a supportive environment where every rider can grow at their own pace amidst scenic trails that offer breathtaking views of the region’s natural beauty.
