In its 25th year, the BONDI TO BRONTE Ocean Swim on Sunday, November 8, 2026, continues to be one of Australia's most celebrated ocean sports events. This annual gathering at Bronte SLSC draws over 2,500 swimmers across various courses and relies heavily on a dedicated team of volunteers who ensure the day runs smoothly. Volunteers are integral to the event’s success, providing essential support both in the water and along the shorelines of Bondi and Bronte beaches. Swimmers frequently praise these unsung heroes for their friendly demeanor and unwavering assistance, making the experience truly memorable. In recognition of their efforts, volunteers receive a free 2026 B2B t-shirt and cap, complimentary food and drinks on the day, and transportation via shuttle buses between Bronte and Bondi. The event organizers are seeking over 300 volunteers to fill roles such as land support and water safety. No membership with Bronte SLSC is required for those interested in becoming a land volunteer; friends, family members, and community supporters are all welcome. For individuals looking to contribute from the water, a current and proficient Bronze Medallion from any Australian Surf Life Saving Club is necessary. Additionally, there's an opportunity specifically tailored for young cadets aged 13-18 who hold either an SRC or Bronze Medallion as part of Bronte Cadet members. These roles provide valuable experience in the heart of Australia’s iconic ocean community event. Your participation will not only enhance the day but also contribute to a tradition that has become synonymous with summer on Sydney's coastlines. For any inquiries, please contact volunteers@bonditobronte.com.au. Volunteering at this prestigious swim offers an unparalleled chance to be part of Australia’s rich maritime heritage and support swimmers as they navigate the waters between Bronte and Bondi. Join us in making history and celebrating a quarter-century of community spirit and athletic endeavor along Sydney's beautiful beaches.
