About the Event

The eagerly anticipated BorderLands Gravel race is set to captivate riders with its unique blend of challenging terrain and breathtaking scenery along the Arizona-Mexico border. With registration opening on November 28, 2025, at 12:01 AM MST, participants are encouraged to secure their spots early as this event promises a limited field capped at just 400 athletes.
Race enthusiasts will have ample opportunity for pre-race preparation with packet pick-up scheduled from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday, November 13, 2026. This convenient arrangement allows racers to collect their race numbers and swag without the need to arrive early on race day.
For those unable to make it for pre-race pick-up, a late packet pickup option will be available from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM at the Start/Finish line on Saturday, November 14. This ensures that every athlete can participate smoothly and without delay.
The race itself begins with an exciting bi-national parade lap, crossing into Agua Prieta, Mexico, before returning for the official start of BorderLands Gravel. Riders are reminded to carry appropriate government-issued identification at all times to ensure a smooth re-entry process upon their return to the United States.
Adding to the fun is a 3.25-kilometer run/walk event starting simultaneously with race registration, offering participants an early morning start on International Avenue between E and F streets.
BorderLands Gravel promises not only a thrilling cycling experience but also a memorable journey through diverse landscapes and vibrant culture, making it a must-attend for any gravel enthusiast.
