The Brașov Marathon takes over the Carpathian mountains on Saturday, 30 May 2026 and continues through Sunday, 1 June 2026 in Brașov, Romania. This is one of Romania's largest mountain running events, gathering thousands of runners from across the country and beyond. Courses explore the Tâmpa, Postăvaru, and Piatra Mare massifs, weaving through dense forests and alpine meadows with stunning views over Brașov and its surroundings.

The route starts in Piața Sfatului, right in the heart of Brașov's historic center. Runners pass the Black Church, the Weavers' Bastion, and climb the serpentine road toward Tâmpa peak, then continue through Postăvaru and Piatra Mare mountains. Each kilometer delivers impressive views of Brașov and the surrounding Carpathian landscape, turning every run into a journey through history and nature.
Brașov Marathon is part of the Carpathian Circuit, offering ITRA and UTMB index points for the ultramarathon, marathon, and half marathon distances. This means participants can accumulate valuable points for qualification to international mountain running competitions while enjoying the beauty of Brașov's mountains. The special race on 1 June rounds out the weekend with a non-competitive event for all ages.
