Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run 2026

Join the Brighton & Hove FrontRunners on Friday, July 31st at 7:00 PM for their vibrant and beloved Rainbow Run! This iconic 5k race takes place along flat park pathways in Hove Park, offering runners a stunning evening setting under summer skies.
The event is renowned not only for its competitive spirit but also for the festive atmosphere that envelops participants from start to finish. As you dash through the course, expect bursts of color and enthusiastic cheers as you cross the finish line. The race includes chip timing, making it an official record keeper for all runners aged 14 years or older.
This year's Rainbow Run is a celebration leading up to Brighton & Hove Pride Parade, with each participant receiving a yellow medal that adds another hue to their collection of rainbow medals from previous runs. It’s more than just a race; it’s a community event that supports the LGBTQ+ mental health charity MindOut through fundraising and awareness.
The FrontRunners club is a welcoming group dedicated to promoting inclusivity in running, offering accommodations for various accessibility needs such as sign language interpreters and wheelchair-friendly options. The evening's festivities are enhanced with live music from a steel band, drink stands serving non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and even mystery guests adding an element of surprise.
Participants can look forward to dressing up in their most creative costumes; fancy dress is encouraged! Prizes will be awarded for the best outfits that catch everyone’s eye. Additionally, there's a raffle with fantastic prizes including local bar vouchers, Brighton Gin bottles, artwork from regional artists, and overnight stays at The Brighton Grand Hotel.
The event includes several perks: a bespoke medal unique to this year's theme, goodie bags filled with surprises, trophies for the top male, female, and non-binary runners in each category, as well as complimentary photos captured throughout the race.
Registration fees are £22 per person on the day of the event (subject to availability), but note that refunds or deferrals will not be offered once you sign up.
