Bristol Progress Days 5K and 1.5 Mile Run/Walk

The Bristol Progress Days 5K and 1.5 Mile Run/Walk returns to Bristol, Wisconsin on July 11th, 2026. Nestled in the heart of this charming town, runners will enjoy a course that winds through historic streets and parks, offering both challenges and scenic views.
On race day, expect the cool morning air to transition into the warm summer sun as temperatures hover around an average of 23.2°C. The light breeze should be manageable for most runners, though humidity levels at 72.5% might make things a bit sticky. Prepare accordingly with hydration and comfort in mind.
The race course will take participants from Bristol Village Hall on 83rd Street, through the bustling downtown area before heading into the quiet residential neighborhoods that line the route. Markers along the way ensure accurate distance tracking, while notable features like historic buildings and lush green spaces add to the charm of this annual event.
Starting at Bristol Village Hall, runners will navigate a variety of surfaces including paved streets and grassy paths. The course layout includes two aid stations for quick refueling or water stops. Finishers can expect a post-race celebration with plenty of refreshments.
In addition to its scenic route, the 5K Run/Walk offers participants the opportunity to support local causes through participation in our annual event. This year marks the eighth consecutive edition of Bristol Progress Days, where over 150 runners are expected to participate and contribute towards community initiatives.

Bib pickup will be held on race day from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at Bristol Village Hall. Participants should bring their photo IDs for verification and ensure they have the correct bib number handy.
The event kicks off promptly at 9:00 AM, with a minimum age requirement of 16 years old due to liability considerations. First-time participants are encouraged to arrive early for last-minute check-ins or to secure parking near the start line on 83rd Street in Bristol.
