Briv'Ekiden 2026

Briv'Ekiden 2026 is set to take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 9:15 AM under the Georges Brassembns Hall, Place du 14 juillet in Brive-la-Gaillarde. This relay race challenges teams with a duration of 4 hours and 30 minutes, offering an exhilarating experience through various terrains.
Participants will start their journey from the vibrant heart of Brive-la-Gaillarde, where they'll run approximately five kilometers before passing the baton to the next runner. The second leg covers ten kilometers, followed by a shorter stint of five kilometers for the third runner. The fourth and fifth runners tackle another ten-kilometer stretch each, while the final runner completes 7.195 kilometers.
The race is open to athletes from all nationalities—licensed or not—and welcomes diverse teams including clubs, enterprises, families, friends groups, and more. Six categories are available for registration:
- Women's Team: Comprising six female runners
- Men's Team: Made up of six male runners
- Open Team: Any combination of 6 participants without gender restrictions
- Mixed FFA Team: Three men and three women, ensuring equal representation
- Youth Team: Open to those under 20 or students under 25 years old, with flexible team composition
- Corporate Challenge Team: Six employees from the same company
For minors participating, parental consent must be provided. The event promises a unique blend of competitive spirit and camaraderie as teams strategize their approach and navigate through the city's picturesque landscapes.
Dossier pick-up is available on Saturday, October 17, between 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Brassembns Hall, with an additional option from 7:45 AM to 8:45 AM on race day. Prizes will be awarded at noon sharp for the top-performing teams.
