Scheduled for Sunday, September 20th, this iconic race will take place at Pioneers Park, offering runners a picturesque and challenging course through the park's hilly terrain. Participants can expect an invigorating morning start with registration opening at Van Dorn Street entrance to Pioneers Park from 8 a.m. The historic 5-mile route winds its way along scenic roads within the park, providing both beauty and challenge for runners of all levels. This year’s event promises to be not just another race but an extraordinary celebration marking half a century of running tradition in Lincoln. Race packets will be available at the Lincoln Running Company on Saturday, September 19th from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., ensuring runners have ample time to prepare for their big day. For those traveling from afar, race-day packet pickup begins early at Pioneers Park starting at 7 a.m. The Buffalo Run stands as the longest-running continuous event in Lincoln’s history, celebrated by both local enthusiasts and out-of-town competitors alike.
