Busimo's Christmas Tree

Experience the enchanting evening of Programma, where tradition and community come together to create an unforgettable night. The journey begins at 17:00 with a gathering at Palalinte, where participants receive their electric torches before setting off on foot for a unique adventure.
By 20:00, after forming the symbolic Christmas tree atop Monte Busimo, the heart of the celebration beats as the tree is ceremonially lit. The evening continues with a mesmerizing procession back to Palalinte via an illuminated path, led by the serpentone—a long, winding formation that brings everyone together in harmony.
Once you return at 21:30, enjoy live music and a warm meal at Palalinte while exploring various food stands offering local delicacies. The night culminates with a lottery draw for exciting prizes at midnight.
This event is designed to be inclusive yet challenging, featuring a round trip of 4 kilometers that climbs an impressive elevation gain of 350 meters. Participants must bring their own trekking shoes and appropriate winter gear suitable for mountain conditions. Torches are provided as part of the registration fee or can be purchased online at €15 if you don't already have one.
Registration costs vary: adults and teenagers aged 13 to 17 pay €15, while children under 12 enter for just €5. Your ticket includes a guided hike up Monte Busimo, dinner with live music back at Palalinte, commemorative items, and entry into the lottery draw.
