Byaloppet Vellinge

Welcome to the vibrant heart of Vellinge for Byaloppet 2026, an exciting and inspiring running day designed especially for children. Hosted by AP Athletics as part of the annual Vellinge Byadag festivities on September 5, 2026, this event promises a joyful celebration of movement, fun, and community spirit.
The race offers two distance options to cater to various age groups:
- A 500-meter run for the youngest participants or those looking to ease into competitive running.
- A one-kilometer course for children who are ready to challenge themselves with a slightly longer route.
Participants will start in waves between 11:00 and 12:00 AM, divided by age groups. Exact details of these starts will be communicated closer to the event date.
Parents and family members are warmly invited to join their young runners on this special day, ensuring that everyone can share in the fun and excitement together. The race takes place along a safe and easy-to-navigate course through central Vellinge, primarily featuring asphalt paths and well-marked routes with officials present to assist participants throughout.
All children who complete the event will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line as a lasting memory of their achievement. Race numbers will be distributed closer to the race date via email or other means for all registered runners.
Vellinge Byadag spans two days, from September 4th to 5th, with numerous activities and entertainment options available throughout central Vellinge, including exhibitions, performances, local organizations, food stalls, and games suitable for families. AP Athletics is proud to contribute to this celebration of community spirit by organizing the Byaloppet.
