Conquer the rugged winter beauty of America's newest national park at the Cabin Fever 50K, February 21, 2026. This iconic point-to-point ultra traverses the stunning landscape of New River Gorge National Park, starting in historic Fayetteville and finishing at Hawks Nest State Park. Runners will experience a classic West Virginia adventure with high ridgeline singletrack, breathtaking views from beneath the New River Gorge Bridge, and challenging terrain that shares much of the legendary Rim to River 100 course, making it a perfect winter training run or a standalone epic challenge.
Organized by Rim to River Endurance Co., the event features a festive pre-race gathering, a mandatory shuttle service, and three fully stocked aid stations to support runners through the 10-hour journey. With proceeds funding outdoor access non-profit Adventure Appalachia, every entry helps empower local communities to experience the region's wilderness. Secure your spot early to guarantee the custom race shirt and prepare for an unforgettable winter ultra that truly earns its name.
