Join the Scoop Scoot, an uplifting community event set to take place on September 26, 2026, at William Land Park. This family-friendly gathering is designed not only for fun but also as a way to raise funds for local nonprofits such as Make-A-Wish and Saint John’s Program for Real Change. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a warm Sacramento evening with friends while supporting great causes. The event features delicious Vic's Ice Cream in flavors like mint chocolate chip, orange sherbet, or vanilla, topped off with Ginger Elizabeth’s gourmet sauces. Additionally, there is a complimentary beer garden available for those 21 and older. To accommodate social distancing guidelines, the organizers have created a unique setup within William Land Park. Instead of gathering at Vic's Ice Cream as in previous years, participants will use a designated one-mile loop inside the park to enjoy their run or walk. The course is designed so that you can do anywhere from 1 lap up to 5 laps, offering flexibility and an opportunity for everyone to participate comfortably. The Scoop Scoot offers something special after each lap: indulge in your favorite ice cream treat followed by a refreshing beverage at the beer garden if desired. Music will be playing throughout the event, adding to the festive atmosphere as you socialize with fellow participants. Registration is just $5 thanks to generous sponsors like California Family Fitness and other local businesses. Additional donations are highly encouraged to support nonprofits such as Sutter Children’s Center Child Life Program and UC Davis Children’s Hospital Child Life Program. The Scoop Scoot will be open from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, allowing you to choose your preferred start time during the registration process to avoid crowding. This event promises a delightful evening filled with community spirit, delicious treats, and an enjoyable run or walk through William Land Park. Come join us for this heartwarming celebration of fitness and charity in Sacramento!
