Canada Day Run & Walk

Celebrate Canada Day with Run Regina's vibrant 3K and 5K runs on July 1, 2026. Whether you're running or walking, this event offers something for the whole family to enjoy.
The courses wind through picturesque Wascana Lake and its surrounding gardens, offering breathtaking views of Queen Elizabeth II Flower Gardens as well as a scenic loop around Pine Island. The start and finish line are conveniently located on Walter Scott Way, making it easy for spectators to cheer you on.
Participants in both the 3K and 5K will experience a unique blend of urban beauty and natural splendor. The 5K course follows a clockwise path along Wascana Lake's shoreline, while the 3K takes an out-and-back route that leads runners towards Pine Island before returning to the starting point.
Prepared for your run is a locally designed Run Regina swag item, ensuring you stay comfortable and stylish throughout the event. Upon crossing the finish line, you'll receive a beautifully crafted Canada Day Finishers Medal by Sticks & Doodles as a memorable keepsake of your celebration.
For those unable to join us in person, we offer virtual race options for both distances. Virtual registrants will have access to all races and can participate from anywhere at their own convenience.
Chip timing is available for the in-person event, ensuring accurate results. Each runner receives a custom race bib, and free professional high-definition photos by Marathon-Photos.com are provided after the race—perfect for sharing on social media or revisiting your memorable day.
An online leaderboard will keep you updated with real-time race results as they unfold, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. Digital finisher medals and certificates await those who complete their run, available in the Race Roster Dashboard for easy download and display.
