Canadian Days 5K Run/Walk

Experience the enduring charm of the Canadian Days 5K Run/Walk, an annual family-friendly festival that has been celebrating its community for over four decades. This year's race invites runners and walkers of all abilities to traverse through Pioneer Park on Desoto Street, starting and finishing at this vibrant green space.
Post-race festivities include a complimentary pancake breakfast served in Spooner Park (350 Eli Road), offering participants the perfect way to refuel after their run or walk. Ribbons will be awarded for top overall performance as well as first, second, and third place within each age group: 11 & under, 12-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Participants can also enjoy the comfort of wearing a first-come, first-served T-shirt distributed at packet pickup.
The theme for this year's festival is "Where 50 Years Feels Like Home," reflecting its deep-rooted traditions. Mark your calendars for early race packet pick-up on Friday, July 31 from 11 am to 2 pm in Spooner Park, or Saturday morning before the event. Early pickup ensures you avoid long lines and increases the likelihood of securing a preferred shirt size.
Pioneer Park, located at 2950 Centerville Road, offers ample parking space on its east side near Desoto Street for those eager to join this cherished tradition. Awards will be presented to both overall winners and top finishers in each age category, with double dipping allowed to ensure more participants receive recognition.
