This series comprises four distinct open water swimming events across Catalonia, each offering a unique blend of competition and scenic beauty. The highlight is the Canal Pro event at the historic Canal Olímpic de Catalunya, constructed for the 1992 Olympic Games. Swimmers can expect flat waters with clear sightlines, creating an ideal environment for racing. Official timing ensures that every swimmer's performance is recorded accurately, and category rankings provide a competitive edge. The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with a free Sunset Swim at the Canal Olímpic de Catalunya, allowing participants to enjoy the stunning views as they glide through the water under the setting sun. A complimentary open water clinic led by professional athletes Thomas Vanhalst from Belgium and Isaac Lopez from Spain is also available in English, French, and Spanish. Saturday brings race day excitement with individual races featuring official timing for all categories of swimmers. Additionally, a special Kids Swim event caters to young participants aged 6 to 14, encouraging the next generation of open water enthusiasts.
