About the Event

Join us for the 11th Annual Cancer Warriors Inc. 5k, a heartwarming event taking place on September 10th along the scenic Ma & Pa Trail near Belair. This year marks another milestone as we continue to support cancer research through our certified nonprofit organization.
Participants can choose between an in-person run or joining virtually from anywhere around the world. The race begins and ends at the trailhead, offering a straightforward out-and-back course that runs along the picturesque Ma & Pa Trail. Runners will start by heading south on the trail, crossing two streams before making a right turn at the fork. They'll then pass under Route 24 en route to the turnaround point near Tollgate Road and return via the same path.
Virtual runners have even more flexibility, with an extended window from September 1st through September 20th to complete their 5k journey on any course of their choice. All participants are encouraged to submit their results online through UltraSignup by the deadline.
To enhance your race experience, Cancer Warriors Inc. offers a t-shirt add-on for both in-person and virtual runners. However, due to limited availability, it's recommended that you sign up early as prices increase after September 5th and shirt guarantees may not be available afterward.
Post-race festivities will take place at Independent Brewery, providing an ideal setting to celebrate your achievement with fellow participants or simply enjoy the camaraderie of a supportive community. Whether you're running in person or virtually, every step counts toward making a difference in cancer research.
Registration is now open for both runners and those who wish to support the cause through donations only. Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of something meaningful while enjoying beautiful scenery and a strong sense of community spirit.
