Experience the charm and beauty of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties this year as we celebrate our 11th annual cycling tour. The route winds through picturesque back roads, offering scenic views of covered bridges, historical sites, and rolling hills that stretch to the Delaware River and its lush greenery. Cyclists will converge at Federal Twist Vineyard in Stockton, NJ, located directly across from the towpath and overlooking the river. The event is designed with safety and comfort in mind, featuring tech support at key points along the route, ensuring riders are well-supported throughout their journey. After your ride, enjoy a post-ride feast that includes food, drinks, wine tastings, and live music, all included in the registration fee. This year's proceeds will benefit children living with Rare Gastrointestinal Diseases and their families, providing critical assistance for out-of-pocket expenses and insurance denials. We offer two registration packages: one with a standard fee or you can opt for a lower cost option by raising a small fundraising minimum. Participants who choose the latter agree to be invoiced post-event if they do not meet their set goal. Post-ride, join us at an after-party with food, wine tastings, and music for all participants. Companion tickets are available for family members or friends who wish to attend this festive gathering. For safety reasons, carry spare tires, tubes, and tools as tech support will be present on the route. A wristband provides contact information in case of emergencies; ensure you have a cell phone handy with 911 access. This event is rain or shine, so pack a light rain jacket if necessary, and daytime running lights are highly recommended for visibility. For those who need assistance renting equipment, Big Bear Gear in Lambertville can help set you up appropriately. Bicycles must be in good working order, helmets that meet CPSC, ANSI, and Snell standards (or similar) are required, and the use of headsets or earbuds is prohibited. Check-in before starting your ride, sign a waiver, and remember this is a leisurely tour rather than a competitive race. The roads will be open to vehicular traffic; please follow all rules of the road. Show respect for our volunteers, motorists, and fellow cyclists as you navigate through the scenic routes that may change based on 2025 feedback.
