Since its inception in October 6, 2025, this event has become a beloved annual tradition in Coal Valley. Over the years, it has attracted hundreds of participants who come together to support The Rock Island County Animal Shelter and enjoy a fun-filled morning with their furry friends. This year marks another exciting edition that promises to uphold the legacy established by previous events.
Course venues include winding paths through pastures and woodlands around Case Creek Valley, providing both familiar scenery for regular attendees and new experiences for newcomers. You can expect a gentle terrain, though some sections might be slightly hilly, adding just enough challenge without being overwhelming. Start times will see runners and walkers setting off as dawn breaks at 9:45 AM. The route layout ensures a looped path that returns participants back to Case Creek Park, where they can collect their custom T-shirts, Dog Tags, and other swag.
