On Tuesday, June 15, 2027, the venue will host a challenging yet rewarding trail race that promises both scenic beauty and athletic prowess.
The senior race kicks off at 7:30 PM with a course distance of 3.5 miles (approximately 5.6 kilometers). Participants can expect to traverse fast wooded trails, tackle steep climbs, and enjoy an unexpected splash along the way, adding excitement and variety to their journey through nature’s rugged terrain.
For young athletes eager for adventure, there is also a Junior 2k race starting at 7:00 PM. This event welcomes runners from U10, U12, U14, and U16 age groups who are no younger than eight years old as of April 13, 2027. Entry for juniors is available on the night and costs £3 per participant.
This race serves as part of a larger series—the Accrington Fell & Trail Series—comprising thirteen races in total throughout the year. Each competitor’s best nine results contribute to their overall standings within this extensive competition, fostering camaraderie among runners while pushing personal limits.
