CBTE Winter Wirral Ultra

The Winter Wirral Ultra invites road and trail runners, as well as walkers, for an exhilarating 36-mile journey across the scenic Wirral Peninsula. With its gentle elevation gain of just 812 feet over the entire route, this ultra is one of the flattest courses offered by the event organizers.
Starting at Hooton Memorial Hall on the Wirral Way, participants will follow a well-marked circular trail in an anticlockwise direction. The course showcases the beauty of the peninsula’s coastline before concluding with 12 miles along the picturesque Wirral Way. While the route is clearly signposted, additional markers are placed to assist runners and walkers.
The event features five checkpoints where water and snacks will be available to keep participants fueled throughout their journey. Each entrant receives a finisher's medal upon completion of the race, as well as complimentary drinks and snacks at the end. A GPS tracker is provided so that friends and family can track your progress through Open Tracking.
Participants have 12 hours from the start time to complete the course or may continue walking until they reach their personal limit within this timeframe. The event accommodates up to 430 runners, ensuring a manageable yet competitive atmosphere.
Trophies are awarded for first place in male and female categories as well as non-binary participants. Age-specific awards are also given out for top finishers aged 50, 60, and over 70 years old. An optional finisher's t-shirt can be purchased for £10 to commemorate the event.
