Cedar Lake Triathlon Summer Series - Race #4: A Night of Adventure and Fun Experience the thrill of summer racing at Cedar Lake during this exciting fourth installment of our bi-weekly triathlon series. Held every other Thursday night, these grassroots races offer a perfect blend of challenge and camaraderie. The race features two distinct events: - Individual/Sprint Relay Triathlon: This event combines a 500-yard lake swim with its refreshing waters, followed by a 10-mile bike ride through the scenic trails surrounding Cedar Lake. Conclude your night with a 5K road run that showcases the picturesque landscape. - Super Sprint Triathlon: A shorter but equally exhilarating race, perfect for beginners and seasoned athletes alike. The super sprint includes a 200-yard swim in the lake, a 5-mile bike ride on smooth paths, and a mile-long run through the park. First timers are encouraged to participate; our experienced volunteers will be on hand to guide you through transitions and answer any questions about equipment or technique. For those aged 13 and above, this race is open for everyone to enjoy. Families can also join in—race with your child for free if they accompany you throughout the event. Timing begins at 6:10 PM for the Super Sprint Triathlon and 6:15 PM for Individual/Sprint Relay races. Pre-registration is mandatory; early sign-ups are highly recommended as spots fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Online registration closes by 5 PM on race day, with no onsite options available. Transition areas will be bustling with a variety of bikes—ranging from high-end carbon TT bikes to hybrid models and even beach cruisers. Our friendly volunteers ensure that every athlete has the best start possible. For those unsure about their abilities, our triathlon coach is present to offer tips on buoy turns and transition techniques. To prepare, aim for at least 20 pool lengths without stopping in a full sprint or 10 for the super sprint. Join us this summer as we celebrate local racing and foster an inclusive community of runners, cyclists, and swimmers. Whether you're looking to test your limits or just enjoy a fun evening out with friends and family, Cedar Lake Triathlon has something for everyone. In case of inclement weather on race day, the organizers may alter the event format to a duathlon or cancel it entirely. Come down this Thursday night—whether first time or seasoned racer—and experience what makes Cedar Lake Triathlon unique!

About Chester
Learn more about the host city, Chester.
Chester is a very pretty and historic English city on the river Dee, and the county town (capital) of the North-Western county of Cheshire. Although maybe not worth a whole holiday, it's well worth a day or overnight trip to see the Roman ruins and medieval city centre. This fine city is also the gateway to North Wales, as it stands directly on the Anglo-Welsh border.
