Celtic Trail Races

For seven winters, runners have flocked to the Celtic Trail Races, an invigorating series of trail events set against the backdrop of Wales' dramatic landscapes. Three distinct challenges cater to all levels: a grueling 50K ultra, a full marathon, and a classic half marathon that spans linear terrain.
Navigational worries are alleviated by fully marked routes, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the stunning scenery without concern for direction. The courses wind through the enchanting Afan Forest and the rugged Rhigos mountain range before concluding on the high trails of Coed Morgannwg Way. Sharp ascents and long descents characterize these journeys, alongside river crossings and secluded single-track paths.
Participants will encounter serene reservoirs hidden deep within ancient woodlands, towering wind turbines that punctuate the skyline, and panoramic vistas across the Brecon Beacons National Park. The adventure concludes with a thrilling descent into Dare Valley Country Park, where all races converge in festive cheer for an exhilarating finish line celebration.
