The Shunan Bamboo Sea Half Marathon starts 7:00 AM on Sunday, September 27, from Changning Station to Zhuhai Town, Changning County, Yibin, Sichuan, with a 10,000-runner cap for its single half-marathon (21.0975km). Registration opens July 6 at 10:00 through August 21 at 18:00, first-come first-served.
Nicknamed the "Bamboo Marathon" by regulars, the course runs through 10,000 mu of bamboo forest -- a natural oxygen bar -- along the high-speed rail avenue, Nanzhu Road, Zhuhai Avenue, and the World Bamboo Landscape Avenue on the way to Zhuhai Town, deep green and rustling bamboo shade the whole way.
