The Concord-Carlisle Time Trial, a thrilling race for both seasoned cyclists and newcomers with a working bike and helmet, invites participants to navigate the scenic routes of eastern Massachusetts. This event is open to all enthusiasts, making it an ideal opportunity for those looking to challenge themselves in a competitive yet welcoming environment. Registration must be completed exclusively through BikeReg by 4:30 PM on race day; no on-site sign-ups will be accepted. After registration closes, participants will receive their start order based on the date and time they registered. A mandatory riders' meeting is scheduled for 6 PM in the designated lot to ensure everyone understands the rules and course details. Riders should note that this event operates under a USAC Non-Competitive permit, meaning no USAC license or one-day permits are required. For detailed information on the route, visit https://ridewithgps.com/routes/7811601 and https://www.strava.com/segments/627550 for segment specifics. In case of weather-related cancellations due to severe conditions like heavy rain expected through late afternoon or evening, participants will be notified via email. Thunderstorms might allow more flexibility as the course can sometimes still be completed safely later in the day. Should a cancellation occur, riders will receive a coupon code valid for future participation at their convenience. Participants are reminded that they represent Concord and Carlisle while riding; therefore, courteous behavior towards drivers is expected. Upon crossing the finish line, remember to shout out your start number as a token of appreciation for the community's support. Results will be posted on both the Central Berkshire Triathlon Team (CBTT) Google group and shared on the Northeast Bicycle Club’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/northeastbicycle. Riders are encouraged to ride safely, embracing this training time trial in open roads with all that it offers. RIDE SAFELY.
