Cheraw 24 Hour

The Cheraw 24 Hour Run, part of the Mountaineer Rumble series, invites endurance runners to explore the serene beauty of Cheraw State Park in Cheraw, South Carolina. This unique challenge unfolds on February 20-21, 2027, with a generous 24-hour window starting at 8 AM and concluding just as dawn breaks again on Sunday morning.
The race takes place along the Turkey Oak Trail Outer Loop, an inviting 4.3-mile circuit that offers runners a smooth, flat terrain ideal for accumulating substantial mileage without undue strain. The trail winds through lush pine forests, turkey oaks, blackjack oaks, and hickories, providing ample opportunities to spot wildlife such as red-cockaded woodpeckers and deer amidst the tranquil surroundings.
Runners are encouraged to push their limits on this picturesque course, with no set distance requirements but rather a chance to rack up miles based on personal endurance. The aid station at the start/finish line is conveniently located along the route's end point, ensuring easy access to refreshments without interrupting your run. A variety of snacks and hearty meals will be available throughout the event, including burgers, pizza, hot dogs, pasta dishes, bacon, and pancakes.
