Pre-registration opens on August 26 at 10:00 AM and continues through September 24; the lottery results will be announced on October 13, with secondary waitlist notifications following on November 13 for those who did not secure a spot in the initial draw.
The race course follows the winding banks of the Yangtze River along Baxia Road, offering runners an unusual experience within this mountainous city. The route is relatively flat, with elevation changes under 20 meters throughout its entirety, making it one of Chongqing's fastest and most accessible courses for half marathoners.
Runners will traverse a unique stretch that passes through the only avenue in the city lined exclusively with Chinese camphor trees—a rare sight along the Yangtze. Additionally, runners will have a chance to admire the distinctive shape of Ronghui Peninsula Hotel, Chongqing’s sole hotel with an 'M' shaped design.
