Ch'ti KV

On Sunday, October 18th, head to Loos-en-Gohelle for the inaugural edition of Ch'ti KV, an exhilarating kilometer vertical race through the iconic slag heap that defines the region's landscape. This year’s event features a single format: the KV route with a challenging ascent of 1000 meters in elevation gain.
The course takes runners on a unique journey up and down the terril, offering breathtaking views at every turn as participants push their limits against steep climbs and technical descents. The organizers have scheduled departures by waves between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM to ensure that everyone has an optimal racing experience.
Each descent is marked with hydration stations where runners can refuel before tackling the next section of the course, ensuring they remain hydrated throughout this demanding vertical challenge. Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a commemorative medal celebrating their achievement and dedication to conquering the terril's terrain.
The event also includes exciting awards for both male and female competitors who secure top positions in the overall standings, adding an extra layer of competition and recognition among runners.
