Cleveland Cycling Academy - 2026 Tour de Farms Gran Fondo - Youth Development Team Fundraiser
About the Event
Mill Stream Park Gran Fondo Experience: A Journey Through Farmland and Friendship Embark on an unforgettable cycling adventure through the picturesque landscapes of Mill Stream Park, Ohio. The 2026 CCA Gran Fondo offers three distinct routes to suit every level of cyclist—whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out. For those seeking a full day in the saddle, the 64-mile Tour de Farms Ride beckons at 9:30 AM. This challenging route weaves through rolling hills and serene farmlands, offering breathtaking views as it winds its way across diverse terrains. A water station will be available halfway to keep you fueled on this long-distance journey. For a more manageable challenge, the Smells Like Farms Ride covers 35 miles starting at 10:30 AM. This route is perfect for those looking to enjoy the beauty of the countryside without committing to an entire day in the saddle. It too features rolling hills and stunning farmland vistas, making it both scenic and rewarding. If you're new to long-distance cycling or simply want a shorter but no less enjoyable experience, join us on the 10-mile Enjoy the Farms Ride at 10:30 AM. This route is especially tailored for those who might be thinking of tackling longer distances in the future; it offers two loops that can extend your ride to 20 miles if you wish. Children are welcome too! The Kids Trail Ride, starting at noon, invites young cyclists and their families to explore Mill Stream Park's trails. Pre-registration is required online via this website, along with a signed liability waiver for each child. Proper safety gear including helmets and closed-toe shoes must be worn by all participants. Enjoy the fun while learning about bike safety in an engaging lap challenge. Start your day at the picturesque Mill Stream Park Pavilion located at 1200 Maple St, Valley City, OH 44280. Meet fellow cyclists and the 2026 CCA Team members for a pre-ride meet-and-greet session. All proceeds benefit the CCA Youth Development Program, ensuring that future generations can enjoy cycling as much as you do. With road closures in place to ensure safety, this event is open only to those who register, check-in at least 30 minutes before their ride time, sign a waiver, wear a helmet, and follow all traffic laws. Bring your front and back lights for added visibility, and don't forget to download the route on your GPS bike computer or print out your map ahead of time. The event promises an exhilarating experience with minimal traffic, making it ideal for enjoying the beauty of rural Ohio without the stress of heavy vehicle congestion. The first mile includes a moderate hill that can be tackled by all levels of cyclists—just walk your bike up if you need to! After completing your ride, enjoy lunch provided free of charge for registered participants and available at $10 per adult or child for non-registered riders. Bathrooms are conveniently located at the start/finish area. Parking is abundant but grass areas should be avoided; use designated lots on School Street if needed. Rain or shine, this event will go ahead as planned with no refunds offered. Bring extra cash to support local businesses and participate in raffle baskets! Safety is paramount, so please adhere to group ride etiquette and E-bike policies. Class 1 eBikes are welcome but must be registered at check-in and follow all rules for safety and legal compliance. Join us for an event that celebrates the joy of cycling while supporting a worthy cause. Questions? Contact [email protected]
