Coastal4Cancer 2026 - RUN TEAL

About the Event

Coastal4Cancer 2026 - RUN TEAL returns to Grange in South Australia on August 9th for its ninth year of supporting the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF). The event offers four distances: a 7km, 14km, half marathon (21.1km), and a long-distance 30km run.
Race morning begins at 7am with runners gathering just north of Grange Jetty Reserve, right behind the Grange Hotel. This picturesque setting provides a perfect backdrop for the early-morning start as participants set off on an AIMS measured out-and-back course that loops through Henley Beach and almost reaches West Beach before turning back towards its starting point.
This event has been running since 2018, making it one of Grange's longest-standing community initiatives. Over the years, thousands have participated, raising significant funds for cancer research while supporting local families affected by this disease. The cause matters deeply in South Australia, where the community comes together to make a difference.
The course is an AIMS measured 7km loop that runs through Henley Beach and almost reaches West Beach before turning back towards its starting point at Grange Jetty Reserve. This route offers runners scenic views of the coastline while providing a challenging but manageable distance for both seasoned athletes and newcomers. Notable features include the turn-around point very close to Ozone Reserve in Henley Beach South, which serves as a reminder of the journey ahead.
Start times are set at 7am sharp for all distances, with race bibs available from 6:15am at check-in on the start/finish area. The Grange Jetty Cafe will be open from 8am to provide post-run refreshments. The early-bird price of $22 covers the 7km distance; participants can sign up via https://raceroster.com/events/2026/118198/coastal4cancer-2026-run-teal.
The weather on race day is expected to be mild, with an average temperature of 12.8°C and a maximum of 16.2°C. The humidity levels are around 75%, which should feel comfortable for runners starting at 7am. A slight breeze from the typical wind speed of 13.5 km/h might make it slightly cooler, providing a refreshing start to the morning.

The Coastal4Cancer event not only raises funds but also strengthens community bonds, making it an essential part of Grange’s annual calendar. This year's edition is particularly significant as the cause continues to gain traction and support across South Australia.
