About the Event

The Colin Dunne Race returns on March 21, 2027, as an annual tribute to a beloved local teacher who tragically passed away during the Barcelona marathon. This 5km run through scenic streets offers both competitive athletes and casual joggers a chance to honor Colin's memory while supporting a worthy cause.
Participants will wind their way past familiar landmarks in this community event before crossing the finish line at the school grounds, where post-race festivities await inside the gymnasium. Refreshments such as pizza slices, sandwiches, cakes, and drinks are provided for runners of all ages to enjoy together with family and friends.
In addition to celebrating Colin’s legacy, the race raises vital funds for the school's autism unit. Prizes include a perpetual memorial cup awarded to the winner, who gets to keep it for one year, as well as cash awards.
