Collegeville Ultra

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Saint John's Abbey Arboretum for the Collegeville Ultra, an eco-conscious trail race that promises to challenge and inspire runners from all walks of life. This unique event offers three distinct distances: 10 miles, 20 miles, and a challenging 50 kilometers, each loop weaving through diverse landscapes within this expansive arboretum.
Set against the backdrop of nearly 3,000 acres of natural splendor, participants will traverse prairie grasslands, oak savannas, hardwood forests, coniferous woodlands, serene lakes, and wetland areas. The trail is a mix of dirt paths, double tracks, single-track trails, boardwalks, and paved routes, providing runners with an ever-changing terrain that tests both endurance and agility.
The race takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, starting at the Durenberger Athletic Fields in Collegeville, Minnesota. All participants will begin their journey at 9:00 am, giving them ample time to soak in the morning tranquility before setting off into nature's embrace.
Registration for a race t-shirt is guaranteed if you sign up by April 13th. In addition to a finisher medal for each distance category, there’s an exciting opportunity for runners who complete their first lap quickly, with awards given regardless of the chosen event length.
For those looking to support fellow racers or drop off supplies, aid stations are strategically placed throughout the course. The primary station is located at the start line and serves as a place to store personal belongings in drop bags. A second aid station near Stone Gate offers easy access for crews via Old Entrance Road, ensuring that runners have everything they need without leaving their support teams behind.
As part of the event’s commitment to sustainability, participants are encouraged to bring reusable bottles or cups to minimize waste along the trail. Strict rules against littering and course cutting ensure a fair competition while preserving this natural wonderland for future generations.
